My friends and I have totally different approaches to dating. That said, we all have to deal with something: the first date. Where to take her? Drinks or coffee? How much to spend? How long should it go? Torture. Here are my friends' favorite first date spots:
"I like something really low key. Nothing that says 'this is a date'. I like meeting for a drink, or even just a coffee. Let's see what happens. Maybe we'll end up in friend town.""I don't have a ton of cash, so I tend to avoid things like dinner and instead opt for stuff like concerts, or just ask to 'hang out'. Now that I think about it, 'wanna hang out' sounds kind of lame, but if you like each other, what more do you need, really?"I try not to do the Finance Guy thing, where you go to an expensive restaurant and make a big deal out of the wine list. That's so cliché. I'll often say 'meet me at this burger joint' and order beers. Or I'll ask if they'd like to see an art show. Art galleries are intimate. And you have to whisper, which is sexy."
